Tuna Tube


Bluewater tube fly with slinky fibre, conehead, and lots of flash.

This fly is tie on tube right?! I have a very similar one... super heavy, but they swiming like a real fish! : )
I try to cast them the other day use a spey rod... and the flying bullet almost kill me... I think it better just use single handed rod with oval cast.

Hi Mark,

Yes they are heavy. Before I used to tie coneheads on regular and jig hooks. However, I found out they would fit some thin plastic tubes. You are right about casting them. Oval cast works well, even though with shooting tapers it can have tendency to introduce twists in the line.

They are good for deep feeding tuna under dolphins.
