What hackle you use for the wetfly? bottom photo. It looks very stylish, different from the partridge feather! Very nice!! I need to tie some of those soon for my summer trip!

Thanks my friend... The bottom fly, la Peute, uses mallard body feather. It is and old French fly from the 1950's. They are different than flank feathers, which I used on the middle fly. You can't find them in fly shops, and I "hunt" for them in the local college park, where there are many mallards around the pond. There are always a lot of useful feathers, some lighter and some darker.

Once you make the collar, pull back all hackle fibers and make a straight cut, just past the body. When greased on the top, Peute imitates a hatching sedge or a mayfly. I heard it is a very good fly for greying, too.
