Sweet pattern! Vlad,
Simple and elegant! I have a similar one, I use goose biots to tie the bodies and squirrel for dubbing...
keep them coming! : )

Thanks Mark! I tied a bunch of them yesterday- I like simple flies like that for early season.

Vlad...very nice. Excellent to see you are warming up the vise again with your stellar patterns.

Nice Vlad.
But don't you think these TMC 200-alike hooks have an awful small hooking gape?

Thanks guys!

Jay, you are right about the small gape! These flies were tied on a size 12 hooks, and the gape is comparable in size to TMC 200, but the shank shape is different. I am hoping they will work OK, but I would not want to go too much smaller than that for the reason you mentioned.

Vlad,

Nice flies. I hope you can get out as soon as this weather lifts a bit.

I'm going to have to wait until April 1st...I'll be mended by then!

Looking forward to this spring. Mostly pike. I need it.

Jeremy.

P.S. I wasn't signed into Google!! Geez...
