Vlad - Your streamers are awesome! You should put on a clinic...

Did you use a dubbing loop to make the bushy heads on those last ones?

I love them all.

Thank you Marcus for your kind words!

I used EP dubbing brush, which is advertised for leeches, muddler heads, shrimps, buggers, but you can easily make your own version with some poly fibers (Widow's Web, EP or Neer Hair, etc.), rubber and flash.

For the body I used acrylic/poly yarn, teased with velcro, so the head blends into the body.

Best regards,

Vlad

Awesome tie! Vlad!
Great reference for the striper season! I have wanted to try some EP flies... great post!

Thanks Mark. I got some new jig hooks from The Fly Shop, and wanted to try them out. So far I am very happy with them (the jig flies from the post are tied on 2/0). I got some smaller ones that would be great for smaller striper flies and smallmouth, too.

Vlad, ol' boy....those are some REALLY nicely tied streamers.

Buy that MN license pretty quick now!

Give me a buzz soon after 5/9...during the week - so we don't fight the other boats!.

Jeremy.

Jeremy,

Thank you! Yes, I gotta buy the licence, I am kinda slow with fishing so far this year. You can count on me in May, that is for sure!

We'll talk soon,

Vlad
