Behind the Lens: Dave Skok

Ever shifting winds, unpredictable tides, smorgasboard of bait, complex patterns of fish behaviour... Each new day creates a new puzzle, and presents unique and challenging opportunities for the wading flyrodder in Boston Harbor.

If you are thinking about visiting Boston while sampling its diverse striper hotspots, give Dave Skok a call (http://www.dwskok.com/). I can't think of more passionate guide, photographer, fly tyer and fisherman!

Morning Megataper Workout

Dusted off my old Loomis Megataper for a bit of surf casting after morning coffee. Least and common terns were working among rollers, suspended like ephemeral ghosts on wave crests. Even though fish were here the other day, I didn't find any this morning.
