Vlad,

Congrats man!!! Cool catch. Never would I have suspected a flatfish (Halibut I'm guessing??) would grab your streamer.

How did she fight you? A good tussle???

We're off to the family vac. up north tomorrow. Muskies, pike and smallies. Tough lake but we'll see how it goes. If I get anything worthwhile I'll email you the pics.

Also those rods you just finished are really cool looking, Man, dude, you make a really nice rod!! Really nice!!

Take care. Always great to see your work on this blog.

Jeremy.

Thanks Jeremy,

Always great to hear from you! This is fluke or summer flounder... I caught fluke in the past on a Clouser, but this one came from a jetty near my place, on a 6" long squid-like fly. They don't fight as hard as stripers, but still put up a nice fight on fly gear.

Dave and I went last evening to test the new camo rods and caught some stripers on Worm Gurglers...very happy with the performance.

Have a great trip up north and talk soon!

Nice One! In the coast of Argentina this is a very "hot" fish to catch with a fly rod. Congrats!!
