Celebrating 10th Anniversary

Dear visitor,

It's been ten years since I started this blog while living back in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. The emphasis of the blog was on my random fly fishing experiences in fresh and saltwater, fly tying, photography and rod building. Few years ago I started a separate blog dedicated solely to rod building. In all those years, this blog hasn't changed much and remained a quiet place with a quality content. Thank you for visiting and hope you found some enjoyment and inspiration in things presented here.

Caribou Caddis

A simplified version, tied in three quick steps... Dub the body first.  Hair wing is tied by the tips for extra flotation and cut to length (don't stack). Thorax/appendices are formed by the pinch of hare's ear dubbing spiralled through the hair tips and flared backwards.
