wow, it must have great movement. Really looks like you're onto a winner! can you tell me what hook and materials you used?
The hook is Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap sz. 3/0 or 4/0. The tail is tied flatwing style: a long bunch of white bucktail, with two white and a bunch of long pale badger saddles on top.
The head is made of reverse tied polarfibre: white for the belly and tan for the back. Use Liquid Fusion glue and shape it, by brushing it backwards towards the tail.
Once you get the basic head shape, layer some Angel Hair in different colors for the back and sides/belly. Tie it in reverse at the hook eye and brush back, so it will stick to the head. Try to spread it around the head, just like a fish skin.
Goop the eyes and add one more coat of the glue. You can also add some red/pink Angel Hair to simulate bleeding gills.

Thanks so much for the reply, just need some polar fibre and hooks before i get started. Do you think floo goo or fabric glue will work instead of the liquid fusion glue?
You're welcome, Ross. Liquid fusion is urethane and can be thinned with water. That makes it easy to apply (and it has no odor). I never worked with floo goo, but I am sure other glues could work, as well as light-cured acrylics.
