Great thread work. No hook-keep?
Is that a Dan Craft blank?

Thanks! The blank is imported/ prototype, which needs further testing on the water. I'm not a big fan of hook keepers, since they don't allow you to keep the leader out of the guides, ready for action. I like to pass the leader around the reel foot and hook the fly to the stripping guide (or even further up the rod, if it is a short rod.) That way you can unhook it quickly, without having to pull out the leader.

what a great looking rod~! Good built! Vlad.

I like the idea of long graphite and glass minded rod! to me, it would be perfect for swing softhackle and great for roll cast! I am thinking to get one for the summer nymphing too... nicely done! Brother!

Thanks Mark, glad you like it. It is very versatile and I like it with #3 line. In longer lengths I prefer graphite for creek rods-they cast nice without being mushy.

Vlad, I looked at this rod closely. You do your rods as you do your flies....really well.

The details are what make a rod stand apart from just a so-so build and you do take the time to make those little details. You're the artist!! Man, I respect that.

Nice job!! And a 3/4 wt. Can't wait to see her.

Jeremy.
